As we’re seeing women’s and trans folks' rights to bodily and social autonomy undermined by zealots, racial abuse authorized by the government, and expansive, rapacious exploitation of land, labor, and resources by corporate interests, both play and storytelling become vital to survival. 

Everyone involved in the production of Oops, All Witches is a fan of the high-quality storytelling of The Wizard, The Witch, and The Wild One, and when Worlds Beyond Number released the playtest version of the Witch class to their Patreon subscribers in October 2023, Sara saw an opportunity. The homebrew class is rooted in stewardship of community and place - a concept practically anathema to the way Dungeons & Dragons traditionally operates. As an introduction into the actual play arena, Oops, All Witches is an exploration of and framework for community care through collaborative storytelling. 

Dancing Stickman, the podcast’s production company, is being built as a vehicle for the cultivation of new, diverse storytellers and inclusive stories, and to assist the decentralization of the entertainment industry from its two coastal poles. Oops, All Witches uses a short Dungeons & Dragons campaign as a fun, accessible entry point for both fans of actual plays and folks who want to hear stories about women finding their power and kicking ass.
